How Ruach Began
Ruach Community Solutions began with a simple belief, every child and family carries unique gifts that can strengthen our neighborhoods when nurtured well.
Guided By Values
We shape every program with love, service, stewardship, and personal responsibility, inviting youth and families to discover strengths, build character, and grow lasting community connections together.
Our Founders
For more than two decades, Alonzo T. Gay Jr. and Thomasina Gay have shared a life rooted in faith, service, and a commitment to strengthening individuals, families, and communities. Married for 22 years and the proud parents of three sons, they founded Ruach Community Solutions from a shared belief that lasting community transformation begins with strong relationships, compassionate leadership, and people who are willing to serve with purpose.
Alonzo brings more than 30 years of ministry leadership and 15 years in law enforcement, dedicating his career to serving, mentoring, and protecting others through faith, leadership, education, and community engagement.
Thomasina brings thoughtful leadership, resilience, and a heart for helping individuals and families grow with purpose. Guided by faith, she is passionate about creating spaces where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Together, they bring complementary strengths that bridge ministry, public service, leadership development, and community engagement. Their combined experiences have shaped an organization dedicated to helping individuals discover hope, families build resilience, and communities flourish through intentional relationships, education, mentorship, and practical support.
Our Daily Mission
We nurture the whole child through academics, character, health, and relationships, so families grow stronger and communities gain hopeful, capable young leaders.
Our Long-Term Vision
We seek restored, equitable access to learning, leadership, natural health, and technology in overlooked neighborhoods, uniting people around shared peace and goodwill.
