Woman is planting tomato seedling with biodegradable peat pot into soil at vegetable garden. Spring organic gardening

The first time a child pulls a carrot from the soil and realizes, "We grew this," something shifts. In our Gardening program, kids trade screens for sunshine and get their hands in the dirt as they plant, water, and care for a living garden. Along the way, they discover where food really comes from and why caring for the earth matters.

We slow the pace so youth can watch tiny seeds become full blooms and vegetables, learning patience, responsibility, and environmental stewardship in a way textbooks can't match. Each visit to the garden becomes a mini science lab and character lesson-kids notice patterns, ask questions, and work together to problem-solve when a plant needs extra care.

Families often tell us their children start trying new foods at home and reminding everyone to waste less. That's the heart of this program: practical skills, healthier habits, and a deeper respect for creation that kids proudly carry back to their homes and neighborhoods.
